With the pandemic making any public events impossible in December 2021, our events committee of volunteers decided to bring you the Saltash Window Wanderland.
The event was such a success that we have decided to make it another element of the Christmas Festival again this December on the 2nd of December at 18:00 until 21:00, running alongside the Chamber’s Saltash Christmas Festival.
Get involved and help us transform our streets in to a magical outdoor art gallery over the first weekend in December!
How to get involved
What goes in to your window display is totally up to you: from a chorus of cheeky robins to a full Nativity scene, from simple to spectacular – as long as it’s family friendly, anything goes. You only need simple materials to create your display, like tissue paper and sugar paper.

After you’ve registered as a Windowmaker you will get access to a whole gallery of ideas. Keep an eye out for the video tutorials created by local artist Jill that we’ll be posting on our Saltash Christmas Festival Facebook page.
Taking part, either as a Windowmaker or a Wanderer, is FREE. So register now to see your location, as well as others, displayed on our map. This will give you, your family, and your neighbours the chance to wander around on that first weekend in December and enjoy the enchanting window displays!
Notes to Wanderers:
– Stay safe! Stay out of gardens, and take a torch.
– Keep warm! Dress up for the cold winter weather.
– Plan your route! Plan your route before you set off and ensure that others know where you will be.
– Have fun! Enjoy the windows, take pictures, and spend time with your loved ones – maybe pack a thermos of hot chocolate!
