My professional background is in communication – I’ve worked in Marketing and PR here and for many years in Germany, including a stint in local journalism and TV. I’ve worked for the local NHS as Communications Manager of community health services in Cornwall for a number of years, and settled in Saltash in 2005.

Both of my children now attend St Stephen’s Community Primary School, but when they were babies I took on the lead role at the local breastfeeding peer support group. That’s where my journey as a community volunteer started, I think.

I’m passionate about doing my bit to make a positive difference in the town and have been a volunteer member of other town groups, too, including the Town Regeneration Forum and the Saltash Regatta, helping to promote the Regatta both to local media and via social media online.

My role is Chamber secretary and I have an active roll within the Chamber. My main duties are correspondence, liasing with businesses and Chamber Members.

Outside of this role I work as a Funeral Director for Pengelly Funeral Service and in my spare time can be found either in or around the sea, paddle boarding, swimming and walking.
